PAUL LAMBERT believes Scotland can stun Germany in the Euros opener because of the immense pressure on the hosts to get off to a flier.
The former Celtic star was a Champions League winner with Borussia Dortmund and he knows the incredible expectation levels in his old stomping ground.
Scotland face a daunting start -just like they did when Lambert was part of the side that took on Brazil at the 1998 World Cup curtain raiser.
Craig Brown's men gave the samba stars a game in the 2-1 defeat that day and Lambert is convinced the class of 2024 can similarly scare the Germans.
He said: "It's a brilliant game because Scotland have nothing to lose and nothing to fear.
"The pressure is all on Germany. It's pretty similar to the game we played in France '98 against Brazil.
