AARON MOOY is the kind of guy who likes to live quietly in the background but he admits it’s frontman Kyogo Furuhashi who is Celtic’s real invisible man.
The Japanese star was front and centre on Sunday as he became the Viaplay Cup Final Hampden hero with a double to down Rangers.
Mooy reckons it is the striker’s ability to vanish out of sight that gives defenders nightmares.
It’s now you see him, now you don’t with Kyogo.
And by the time the 28-year-old reappears, it’s too late for rivals to do much apart from scoop the ball out the back of their net.
The fans’ favourite pounced with two trademark goals in Mount Florida and Mooy admits Hoops teammates are amazed at the Houdini hitman’s box of tricks.
The Aussie said: “If you put the ball in the box, you just know he’s always going to be ready to score.
“He’s quite amazing, really. You wonder where he is and then, all of a sudden, he’s there.
“His movement is amazing and defenders just don’t know which way he’s going to go.
“Kyogo must be a nightmare to play against.
“He’s one of the very best I’ve seen. He’s quite a short guy so to get on the end of so many crosses, it shows you what a player he is.”
Kyogo, who also netted twice in last season’s showpiece against Hibs, is the man who loves to lead fans in celebration after games and he was at it again at the National Stadium as he kicked off the trophy party.
