BOB MACINTYRE is facing the biggest decision of his career as he wrestles a choice between family and fame.

The 27-year-old Oban pro achieved his ambition to play in a winning Ryder Cup team this month.

He senses he may have to move to the States on a semi-permanent basis if he is to become truly world class.

However, he admits his problem is he loves life in Scotland surrounded by his family and friends so much.

MacIntyre reflected on his future in the wake of his big finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship where he signed off at the Old Course with a 65 to finish tied 25th.

He said: “I’ve achieved a lifetime goal and I’ve always said I could happily retire after it. But at 27, I’m not going to retire because there’s plenty more in the tank.

“It’s about resetting the goal. Is that about winning a Major? If it is, then how do I achieve that?
