TOM DALEY stood beaming on the platform, knowing his professional diving career was now complete.
He had the full set at the fifth- and perhaps final - time.
An Olympic silver medal was hanging around his neck and will be proudly placed alongside the gold and bronze ones he has in his collection back home in the United States.
He blew kisses to the crowd in the Aquatics Arena, which included partner Dustin Lance Black and their two children.
He looked up to his boys, pointed to his medal and said: "That's yours, that one." The couple's eldest son Robbie, six, jumped up and down with joy, wearing a T-shirt stating "That's my Papa".
The lad was the inspiration behind Daley's decision to come out of retirement and continue diving.
The 30-year-old changed his mind last year following a visit with his son to the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs.
