McVey: Mone must quit Lords if found quilty of PPE offences
RECORD REPORTERS
Peer pressure

BARONESS Mone should leave the House of Lords if found guilty of wrongdoing following probes into PPE contracts, Esther McVey has said.

Cabinet Office minister McVey said any MP or peer who brought Parliament into disrepute would "need to leave".

Shadow Cabinet Office minister Nick Thomas-Symonds pressed ministers to respond to Opposition calls to order an urgent investigation into the peer who is on a leave of absence from the Lords.

Lady Mone has admitted lying when she denied her link to PPE Medpro, a company that was awarded contracts worth more than to supply £200million gowns and face masks to protect against Covid.
