IT WAS a day to finally put his feet up or at least show off his new crown seated on the throne.
And as official coronation pictures were released, King Charles and Queen Camilla told how the good mood that swept the country was "the greatest possible coronation gift".
The couple released a message thanking the nation for helping to make the weekend such a joyous one.
From the ceremonial grandeur of Saturday to Take That at the concert and a day of volunteering yesterday, Charles and Camilla's thanks were heartfelt.
They said: "Our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped to make this such a special occasion. We thank you, each and every one.
