A SERIES of unidentified flying objects” have been shot down over the US and Canada.
The first was downed in the Atlantic, off South Carolina, by a US F-22 Raptor jet. China said it was an off-course weather balloon.
Three further as-yet-unidentified objects have been shot down.
Two were in US airspace one over North Alaska, one over Lake Huron in Michigan and a third was over Canada's Central Yukon.
Dr Patrick Bury, of the University of Bath a former NATO analyst and captain in the Royal Irish Regiment discusses what they could be. Weather balloons? Spy satellites? An extra-terrestrial invasion?
