THE £2M MAN

JUDD TRUMP has set his sights on claiming the Trump Slam and becoming snooker's first £2million man.

The runaway world No.1 ended a 13-year wait to become a two-time UK champion with a hard-fought 10-8 victory over qualifier Barry Hawkins in Sunday night's showpiece in York.

Ace in the Pack Trump, 35, banked the £250,000 top prize to take his earnings on the green baize this season to a whopping £1.17million - just under £100,000 shy of the prize money record set by Ronnie O'Sullivan's last term.

Trump has pocketed the two biggest tournaments on the calendar this season after adding the UK trophy - one of the game's Triple Crown events - to the inaugural Saudi Arabia Masters title he won in September.
