KING Charles toasted the success of his state visit to France by sipping the local tipple in Bordeaux yesterday.
Charles and wife Camilla flew into the south-western port after two days in capital Paris.
The King and Queen were welcomed to the town hall, now repaired after a fire in March during widespread riots which caused the royals' scheduled visit to be cancelled at short notice.
