A MAN whose family home was destroyed by flooding during Storm Babet said he thought he was going to die as he watched water pour in.
Jake Seath, 27, woke up to a nightmare situation at 5am last Friday at his home in Heron Rise, in Dundee's Claverhouse.
The property, where he has lived since he was 16 and which was previously his gran's home, was taking in water.
He managed to flee with his partner Matt and dog, two suitcases and a rucksack.
Jake said: "I woke up to people outside shouting and screaming. I looked to where my French windows are and water was pouring in.
"It was maybe two feet high and right up to the windows.
