TOON TRIPP UP

KIERAN TRIPPIER suffered a nightmare as the Toon defender gave away a late equaliser then missed a penalty to send Chelsea through to the semi-finals.

Callum Wilson had given the Magpies a first-half lead on the counter-attack.

But Mykhailo Mudryk slotted home in added time after a mistake from Trippier just as Newcastle looked to have done enough.

And after the game went to spot-kicks, Trippier again was culpable-firing wide from 12 yards before Matt Ritchie saw the critical kick saved by goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Delighted Blues gaffer Mauricio Pochettino said: "I said to the players to always believe until the end.
