GLASGOW battled past Bayonne to land a vital Champions Cup win.

Warriors knew they couldn't afford another slip-up after losing their opener to Northampton.

But they rallied after going 8-0 behind to bolster their chances of making it to the last 16 thanks to tries from Ally Miller and Josh McKay.

Head coach Franco Smith said: "We're very excited with the win. The boys fought the whole game.

"To come away with the win showing a lot of heart, and the way we went about sticking to the processes especially in defence and discipline at the end, was a big characterbuilding exercise.

Glasgow were looking to get off to a fast start and thought they had scored a try within two minutes.

However, replays showed Ollie Smith's foot had brushed the sideline as he collected Ross Thompson's kick and touched down.
