JOFRA ARCHER shrugged off a nightmare start to his big return to the international stage to give England a big World Cup boost.
And captain Jos Buttler showered praise on the fast bowler for his doublewicket comeback, ensuring a 23-run win over Pakistan in the second T20.
Buttler top scored with 84 in England's 183-7 before they dismissed Pakistan for 160. But all eyes were on Archer, 29, for his first game following a 14-month injury absence.
Yet when he was smashed for 15 in a poor first over, there were fears his confidence would be hit and he was quickly removed from the front line.
Archer (right), however, was much more like his old self when he returned for his second stint. And was mobbed by his team-mates after having Azam Khan caught by Moeen Ali.
