A POLICEWOMAN has been hailed a hero after shooting dead a knifeman who slaughtered six people in a shopping centre.
The 40-year-old attacker, who was known to police, was stopped by a cop named locally as Insp Amy Scott when he lunged towards her.
Among the victims was mum Dr Ash Good, 38, who died in hospital after she tried to save her nine-month-old daughter. The tot was also attacked and is in a critical condition in hospital.
