PREMIER League chief executive Richard Masters has revealed a date has been set for Manchester City's trial of the century.
Champions City have been charged over 115 alleged rule breaches and could face being relegated if found guilty.
Masters insisted that he could not reveal publicly when the hearing was scheduled but a date is in the diary.
It is believed to be in late autumn this year with a verdict not expected until summer 2025.
City deny any wrongdoing and say they have "a comprehensive Prem body of irrefutable Leag evidence" which will exonerate them.
The case has already been dragging on because City were charged nearly a year ago and it relates to alleged breaches over nine seasons dating from 2018 back to 2009.
