GARETH SOUTHGATE says his new-look England squad will have more “hunger” going into the Euros.
Three Lions boss Southgate made three new call-ups for the 33-man training squad ahead of the tournament and believes fresh faces can always stop complacency creeping in.
Liverpool duo Jarell Quansah and Curtis Jones and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton have all been given a chance in the provisional squad.
It is an inexperienced squad, as England have cut nine players since the last World Cup, but Southgate says he enjoys what new players bring to the group.
Southgate (inset) says that Anthony Gordon and Jarrod Bowen gave the squad a lift in March and they also have the potential to shake up the more established stars.
