Are we a nation of lazy loafers? Are we “forgetting how to work” as Suella Braverman claimed?
Answering these queries could be the key to solving the madness of our migration mess, but practical solutions aren’t exactly abundant, are they?
In fact, despite all the blathering from politicians of all persuasions, a million more migrants are set to head to Britain before the next election. And those are the legal ones.
Meanwhile, the boats keep coming too. Even though we’re a relatively tiny landmass the United Kingdom is the fourth most populous country in Europe. Officially there are just over 65million of us. Unofficially, God only knows.
The NHS can’t cope (7m on waiting lists) and there aren’t enough homes for those of us already here.
Of course some of those heading to our shores are the doctors, dentists and architects we clearly need.
