TRICKSTER Marc Sneyd had the last laugh as Salford completed a Super League double over St Helens.

The England scrum-half was fuming after his bizarre try assist was ruled out in the first half.

Lining up a penalty goal, he instead kicked crossfield where Chris Atkin collected and touched down.

But referee Jack Smith chalked off the audacious play, similar to Kevin Sinfield's cheeky kick for Leeds team-mate Rob Burrow against Hull in 2005, which was also disallowed.
