The sight of Fati arriving at Albion's training ground in Lancing, having agreed a one-year loan deal, must have had Seagulls fans rubbing their eyes in disbelief.

Not that long ago their club was in danger of going out of business and were playing at the bottom of League Two.

Now they are in Europe - drawn against the might of Ajax, Marseille and AEK Athens in the Europa League - and signing a player from Barca who took Lionel Messi's No.10 shirt at the Nou Camp.
