HARRY KANE has spent his entire career proving people wrong – and he’s not going to stop now.
At Wembley tonight, Kane will become only the 10th England player to reach 100 caps, which is not bad for someone who has been written off since he was a kid.
He was released by Arsenal aged eight, nearly dumped by Tottenham as a teenager and was farmed out on loan before finally making it as one of English football’s greatest strikers.
But even now, Kane still clearly takes any criticism to heart – and then uses it to inspire him.
He admits that, despite England reaching the final at the Euros, they were not at their best in terms of performance levels. But he is determined to stop any chatter that he is slowing down.
Kane said: “I am conscious of the summer and talk about me physically.
“Perception is a big thing in football. As a nation and as media or pundits, we were trying to find a reason why we weren’t playing as well as we had played in other tournaments.
