TWO monster earthquakes rocked Turkey and Syria yesterday leaving at least 3,500 dead and thousands more injured.
Families were crushed in their sleep and buildings destroyed after a 7.8 magnitude tremor the highest since 1939 struck the south east of Turkey.
A second quake almost as big measuring 7.5 then hit 12 hours later around 60 miles north.
Horrifying footage showed people fleeing for their lives as cities were reduced to ruins in both Turkey and northern Syria.
