A SUSPECTED gunman who slaughtered 18 people escaped on a jet ski, police believe.
Author Stephen King was among those who were demanding answers about how suspect Robert Card, 40 – who last night remained at large – could commit America’s 36th massacre of the year.
Seven were slain in a bowling alley – where kids hid behind pins and lay in lane gutters – while eight more were shot dead in a nearby bar in Lewiston, Maine.
