AS top footballer Megan Tinsley watched the drama of Christian Eriksen's pitch collapse on live TV during Euro 2020, she thought: "That could happen to me!"
The Danish midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest during the game against Finland but thanks to fast medical attention, he went on to make a complete recovery.
Already playing as a defender for Derby County Women, Megan knew she was also at a higher risk of having a hear attack on the pitch.
The star was diagnosed with atrial septal defect a condition in which there is a hole between the two collecting chambers of the heart - at the age of three.
She had successful surgery two years later, which doctors were confident had fixed the issue, though she was left with an irregular heartbeat.
Megan says: "I had a lot of checkups but when I was 15, they signed me off as being fit." In the meantime, she had become a talented footballer, at first having no problems with her ticker.
