JARELL QUANSAH insists his emergence hasn't just been over the last 12 months - he's been working on becoming a Liverpool star for 16 years.
This time last summer, the centreback was just another youngster on the club's pre-season tour in Asia, with little appreciation for the season he was about to deliver.
A couple of injuries and suspensions early in the campaign opened the door for Quansah in a campaign that ended up with him being in England's provisional squad for Euro 2024.
Yet it was really around the turn of the year when he became more of a fixture in Jurgen Klopp's side.
