ENGLAND have drawn a "line from DEAN WILSON in in the sand" in South Africa as they kick off a year of ODI cricket that will finish with their World Cup title defence in India.
And even though head coach Matthew Mott admits there is still plenty of cricket to take place before that tournament, the jostling for positions starts now.
Mott and skipper Jos Buttler are blessed with far more world-class white-ball players than they have room for in their 15-man squad.
Over the next 13 matches before the World Cup, players will be given a chance in the knowledge that Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow - among the absentees here will walk back into the team once available.
