EMMA RADUCANU believes her fitness problems are finally behind her – 12 months after being forced to use a mobility scooter.
The 21-year-old begins her preparations for Wimbledon today on the Nottingham grass at the Rothesay Open.
After being incapacitated by surgery on an ankle and both wrists, she is relishing the freedom of being free of injury at last.
“Body-wise I feel really healthy now, I feel really strong,” Raducanu said.
“I’ve done amazing work with my trainer over the last few months since surgery.
“I’m in a really fit place. I’m healthy and just looking forward to starting playing.
