And, say what you want about the Conservative party and SNP, but women leaders don't seem to be a problem. The Tories have had three and Scotland one.
Meanwhile in Wales, Conservative Natasha Asghar made history by becoming the first female from a Black or Asian Minority Ethnic background to be elected to the Senedd.
And in Scotland, Labour is headed up by Muslim dentist Anas Sarwar.
