TOTTENHAM legend Jurgen Klinsmann is backing Heung-min Son to lead his former side to glory this season.
The former Germany and West Germany striker, who was in the 1990 World Cup-winning side, scored 20 goals in 41 games in the 1994-95 season when Spurs finished seventh in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup semi-final.
He knows all about the clamour to win trophies at Tottenham and believes Ange Postecoglou’s appointment of Son as his captain can help them to end their silverware drought.
“This is what you work and look forward to – winning trophies,” said Klinsmann, who is now in charge of the South Korea side that Son skippers.
“Spurs have the opportunity to get an FA Cup or even a Premier League.
“We all know what’s happening in the Premier League and how dominant Man City are.
