MAURICIO POCHETTINO will throw in his teenagers against AFC Wimbledon tonight - and has ordered them to be as brave as he was at that age.
Centre-back Pochettino was a raw 17-year-old when he made his debut for Newell's Old Boys in a fierce derby against Rosario Central in the Argentine Primera Division in June 1989.
And he got the chance because manager Jose Yudica was impressed that he had not been afraid to kick experienced skipper Gerardo Martino up in the air in training.
Pochettino could throw in promising teenagers Ishe Samuels-Smith, Kaino Dyer (just 16), Leo Castledine, Zak Sturge and Jimmy Jay-Morgan against the League Two visitors as he believes they will have the bottle for the battle.
