LIAM LIVINGSTONE says England are "one step ahead" in their defence of the T20 World Cup because pace twins Mark Wood and Jofra Archer are back in harness.
For the first time in 14 months, Archer and Wood were unleashed in tandem against Pakistan on Thursday night and both sent the speed gun into meltdown.
Wood peaked at 95.4mph, while Archer hit 91mph as he stepped up his comeback from a year out with a stress fracture of his right elbow.
And all-rounder Livingstone believes the return of their 2019 50-over World Cup heroes as a dream ticket will keep England's rivals on the hop when they open their campaign in the Caribbean against Scotland on Tuesday.
