Onana insists United can end season on high

ANDRE ONANA has admitted there is no hiding place for Manchester United – after their worst season in Premier League history.

But the keeper is still backing his side to end their season on a high and beat neighbours City in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley.

United finished the season in eighth place, their lowest ever in the Premier League, missing out on a European place via the league, with a goal difference of minus one.

Erik ten Hag’s future as boss is in the balance after such a poor season, with goalkeeper Onana admitting the players need to stand up and be counted after such a dismal campaign.

“Manchester United are a big club, we cannot run behind the ball and hide,” said Onana. “We want to have more possession.

“Playing back to me, we try to create space – I have to be clever, fast-thinking and see what the opponent is going to do.
