IAN MACHADO GARRY nearly had to add a jailbreak to his remarkable week in Boston. Instead, it was his opponent Neil Magny who ended up as a dead man (barely) walking.
In a city with deep Irish roots, Dubliner Garry made it feel like home and even invited fans to an open workout in a pub the night before his UFC 292 clash.
The huge turnout required a little crowd control from cops – and ‘The Future’ contemplated a night behind bars to add to his growing fame and notoriety.
He said: “I was able to hold an open workout in a pub in Boston in front of thousands of people. I was so close to pushing the boundaries.
