After long Covid it's the long cold, with symptoms for over a month

LONDON scientists have discovered that people may experience “long colds”, with symptoms including coughing and stomach pain lasting for more than a month after infection

Researchers at Queen Mary’s University of London found that respiratory infections such as colds, flu and pneumonia could have long-lasting health impacts that go undetected due to a lack of awareness among patients.

The researchers looked at the longterm symptoms of patients who had suffered a Covid infection — and another group who had suffered a respiratory infection that tested negative for Covid. Professor Adrian Martineau, who worked on the study, said there was a “similar risk of prolonged symptoms” irrespective of whether it was caused by Covid or non-Covid infection.
