A BILLIONAIRE’S son who fled Britain hours after allegedly murdering a student in Mayfair 15 years ago has admitted involvement in her death for the first time — but said it’s “way too late” to come back to face justice.
Martine Vik Magnussen, 23, was found dead in March 2008 after a night out with friends celebrating end-of-term exams. Her body was found buried under rubble in the basement of a block of flats in which fellow student Farouk Abdulhak lived. Police believed she had been raped and strangled.
Abdulhak, who studied with Miss Magnussen at Regent’s Business School, fled to Yemen via Egypt in the hours after. Despite efforts by her family, the police and UK authorities, he has never returned to Britain to face charges.
Abdulhak has now claimed she died in a “sex accident gone wrong”.
