Tim Martin, now Sir Tim, says sales have recovered from the gloomy pandemic days and that profits for the year will be at the top of City expectations. That suggests profits of about £70 million.
Like-for-like sales increased by 5.2% in the 13 weeks to 28 April, compared to the same period last year. Year-todate like-for-like sales rose by 8.3%.
