AS THE CALENDAR year draws to a close, the fundraising activity of non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) has gained momentum.
NBFCs raised over ₹10,000 crore on Thursday through bonds, with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) leading the pack with ₹4,864-crore mop-up.
Other companies, including Indian Railway Finance Corporation, L&T Finance, Sundaram Finance and SMFG India Credit, raised ₹500 crore to ₹2,000 crore.
Nabard's bond issuance had a total size of ₹7,000 crore, comprising a base issue size of ₹3,000 crore and a greenshoe option of ₹4,000 crore.
