BENGALURU: Karnataka BJP MLC and former BJP national general secretary CT Ravi on Wednesday accused the police of ignoring his complaint filed on December 19, 2024, regarding the alleged police highhandedness linked to a derogatory remark row involving minister Laxmi Hebbalkar.

Addressing reporters at the BJP headquarters in Bengaluru, Ravi expressed frustration over the non-registration of an FIR and targeted the Congress-led state government for what he described as unequal treatment as per the law.

“On December 19 night, I filed a complaint and it has not been registered till this moment, and FIR has not been lodged,” Ravi stated. He alleged that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the derogatory remark case, was ignoring his complaint while focusing on allegations against him. “There is one law for Congress leaders and another set of laws for others,” he added.
