LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, along with senior state officials, presented the implementation plan for the new criminal laws (BNSS - Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita) at a meeting with Union home minister Amit Shah at North Block, New Delhi.
Following the meeting, Amit Shah shared a post on X, stating: "Today, I held a review meeting in New Delhi with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji and other senior officials on the implementation of new criminal laws in the state. The Modi government is committed to making the justice system quick and effective. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh government should work towards fully implementing the new criminal laws in all seven commissionerates by March 31, 2025, and across the entire state as soon as possible. The implementation of these three justice-centric laws will ensure timely and accessible justice for the people of Uttar Pradesh."
