NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch key railway projects including the Jammu railway division and a terminal station in Telangana on Monday.
According to a statement, PM Modi will inaugurate the Cherlapalli railway terminal in east Hyderabad and lay the foundation stone of the East Coast railway division building in Rayagada district of Odisha. The projects will be launched by the prime minister via video conferencing.
The Jammu division will fulfill the long-pending aspiration of the locals by improving their connectivity to other parts of India, the statement said.
The division, comprising 742.1 km of railway lines, will create employment opportunities, infrastructure development, promote tourism and lead to overall socio-economic development of the region, it added.
