HC QUASHES CBI COURT ORDER TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTS TO RAM RAHIM

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday quashed a 2019 order of a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula directing the CBI to provide certain documents to Dera Sacha Sauda head, Gurmeet Ram Rahim in an alleged case of mass castration of followers at the dera.

CHANDIGARH:

It was in 2019 that CBI special court had allowed a plea from the Dera head seeking some documents including statements of 87 witnesses. The CBI had challenged the trial court order before high court in 2019.
