JAIPUR/BARMER: The protests across the nine districts whose separate status was dissolved by the state government continued on Thursday even as BJP's former MP from Jalore Devji Patel had demanded reinstatement of district-hood of Sanchore.
On Saturday, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved the annulment of nine of the 17 districts formed by ex-CM Ashok Gehlot. The nine include Shahpura, Dudu, Jaipur Rural, Neem-Ka-Thana, Kekadi, Gangapur City, Jodhpur Rural, Anoopgrah, and Sanchore while the three new divisions Pali, Banswara, and Sikar were also cancelled. With the latest decision Rajasthan will now have 41 districts and seven divisions.
