MUMBAI: Ayaz Khan and Iqbal Abdullah starred as DY Patil SA beat PJ Hindu Gymkhana by four wickets in the semi-final of the Purushottam Shield here on Saturday.

Khan, Abdullah power DY Patil to Purushottam final

PJ Hindu Gymkhana, powered by Maxwell Swaminathan's unbeaten 83 and Kaushik Chikhalikar's 82 scored 352/4. But the team from Navi Mumbai chased the total, scoring 353/6 with one ball to spare.

In the other semi-final, Payyade SC's Ruturaj Sane and Saurabh Singh helped the team pick up a three-wicket victory over MIG CC.

Brief scores: MIG CC 222/9 (Om Keshkamat 61, Gaurav Jathar 50; Sourabh Singh 3/20) lost to Payyade SC 226/7 (Ruturaj Sane 66, Saurabh Singh 63*); PJ Hindu Gymkhana 352/4 (Maxwell Swaminathan 83*, Kaushik Chikhalikar 82, Ajit Yadav 69*) lost to Dr DY Patil SA 353/6 (Ayaz Khan 91, Iqbal Abdullah 72*, Harsh Rane 54).
