Two women employees of a government-run shelter home for women and girls in Uttarakhand's Haldwani city have been booked under the Pocso Act in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old inmate, police said on Saturday, adding a case has also been registered against an unknown person for raping the minor.
According to the police, the incident took place on December 12 when the two employees of the Government Women Welfare and Rehabilitation Centre in Haldwani took the girl, believed to be mentally unwell, to a hospital and later to another place where an unknown person raped the minor.
