According to officials, the accident occurred in the Gharoa area near the Line of Control (LOC) when a convoy of six vehicles was on its way from the Nilam headquarters to Banoi in the district.
"One 2.5-tonne vehicle, part of a convoy of six vehicles, while plying on the operational track near Poonch, went off the road and plunged into a Nullah (rivulet). Operational Track is on the home (Indian) side of the LOC fence," an official statement issued by the army said.
