LUDHIANA: Yadav had got his children readmitted to a reputed private school in the area only on Saturday. "He wanted them to accomplish what he failed to, given his small-town background in Bihar," a teary-eyed neighbour said, declining to be named.
Yadav, his wife Varsha and their three children Kalpana studying in class 10, Abhay Narayan in class 6, and Aryan Narayan in class 4, died a violent death on Sunday.
Yadav was a registered medical practitioner, running a clinic on the first floor of their house with his wife assisting.
Nand Kishore Sav, a fruit seller who lived on rent in the same house, said every area resident was in a state of shock.
