WHAT CAUSES THE FLARE-UP?
High temperatures can expand the bad bacteria in our guts, leading to gastrointestinal infections that can trigger or worsen bloating.
The 'summer belly' has been affecting a lot of people, of late. Social media influencer Mouli Roy, who suffered from it a few weeks ago, shares how it made her rethink her diet. "Even after eating homecooked khaana, I feel stuffed all day. There are days when I even feel like skipping dinner. I read up about this issue and decided to include more curd blended drinks, coconut water and a single fruit like mango and kiwi in my diet. This keeps me hydrated and lighter," Roy shares.
