Israel launched a wave of airstrikes in Lebanon on Monday as Hezbollah fired on an Israeli military position and each side accused the other of violating a ceasefire that began last week.

At least 11 people were killed in Lebanon after the Israeli military unleashed its largest wave of airstrikes across Lebanon since agreeing to a ceasefire with Hezbollah.

The Lebanese militant group said it fired projectiles into Israel, apparently the first time that it took aim at Israeli forces after the 60-day ceasefire went into effect last Wednesday.
