AN energy price war moved closer last night when a main supplier slashed the headline price of electricity and gas.
Energia customers will be handed down a 20% price reduction on their bills their first major reduction in over three years.
It estimates a household with a joint gas and electricity account will save an average of €682 in the coming year.
