Certainly my cup of Tea

TEAHUPOO ran a cracker in the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham and was a bit unlucky not to triumph but he could return to winning ways at Punchestown today
Certainly my cup of Tea

He didn’t get the clearest of runs at Cheltenham.

He’s only a six-year-old, he’s entitled to improve more but I believe he’s the one they all have to beat in the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle.

Obviously Sire Du Berlais is coming here off the back of wins at both Cheltenham and Aintree.

He’s an unbelievable horse but was beaten in this race last year. I don’t think Punchestown plays to his strengths and I’d be hoping Teahupoo might just have more speed.

Klassical Dream also runs after winning the race for the last two years. He beat me on Ashdale Bob – which has an eachway chance – in this race last year.

This division is wide open at the moment but I’d be happy to think Teahupoo is a bit better than his run at Cheltenham and this track should play to his strengths, especially with the ground being on the soft side.

The first race on today’s card is a very competitive handicap hurdle.
