THE owner of a dog dubbed the wolf that escaped from a zoo has said: “Blondie is my best mate.”
A video circulating on TikTok shows the giant husky-Alsatian cross roaming around a Dublin housing estate.
In the clip which shows the animal loping around parked cars, a man can be heard saying: “That’s the wolf that got out of Dublin Zoo earlier on. That’s the wolf there.”
The video, taken in West Dublin’s Ballyfermot went viral with more than 835,000 views.
It resulted in the capital’s zoo having to confirm none of their seven wolves have escaped their enclosure.
Yesterday, we tracked down the owner of “Blondie”, the five-year-old crossbreed, to his home at the Labre Park halting site on the Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot.
